How to Install Windows 8 Consumer Preview in VMware Workstation

Windows 8 Consumer Preview was just released last week, and now being in Beta stage, and being the latest consumer operating system by Microsoft, all eyes are set on Windows 8 and what can it do. Well if you do not want to install Windows 8 Beta in your "real" machine like in your laptop or PC, you can do two things to test it.

First is let your friends install it in their machine, then look the new features that Windows 8 has on your friend's machine. :) Well, above sentence is only a funny advice, but you ain't installing it inYOUR "real" machine if your going to test it in your friends, right? :)

Well let's get serious, second thing to test it without installing it in your real machine or hardware, is to use the power of virtualization. Virtualization is creating a virtual machine with the use of virtualization softwares such as Virtual Box, and VMware, and is becoming a trend in IT industry.

  1. Sounds too complicated for my simple mind. haha. My friend attempted to install it in her notebook last week but she didn't continue it as it works well daw with a touchscreen tablet latop, is that true?

      Yes it works with some touchscreen tablet laptops :) Although I do not know if it supports all the tablets, but my friend just installed it on his tablet and it works great!

  3. The reason I rely on my husband for techíe stuff is...I always get lost when I try to understand lol...anyway I don't think we'll need Windows8 soon...thanks for sharing!

  6. I have seen a lot of publicity of Windows 8, I am very curious about it but I dont think its the right time to use this OS, im sure that there are still a lot of bugs on this one. My 2 cents :D

  7. parang ang bilis nmn... kaka-install lng ng windows 7 sa PC nmin, meron ng windows 8! technology is getting so faster and higher. i wander what price we have to pay for this ?

    Sometimes our IT people would ask me what Windows I'm using and I don't know what to say. Up to know, I'm still confused, for as long as Word, excel and powerpoint are working, that's fine with me. :-)
